London Tech Week will be taking place next month and it promises a varied and exciting line-up of events. Follow what's happening on Twitter @LDNTechWeek and make sure you visit the website londontechnologyweek.co.uk
Interop London: 16 - 18 June, ExCel London
Interop London is the foremost and flagship event taking place at this year’s London Technology Week and is focused primarily on connecting the IT community and driving innovation.
From the 16 - 18 of June ExCel London will be transformed into a platform where IT and technology professionals can be given the opportunity to experience firsthand, global trends and vendor solutions in areas such as IT infrastructure, cloud computing, mobility, cyber security, data-defined business intelligence and software applications.
Specifically the two-day event will be taking a long hard look at the way emerging technologies are changing, and will continue to change, enterprise including the opportunities that accompany this.
It is the most wide-reaching, and broadly relevant event to be taking place at this year's technology week, and will feature a jam-packed programme of demonstrations and educational opportunities, as well as the chance to get some hands-on experience with the world's latest and greatest tech.
From a standpoint of simply being interested in technology, this promises to be a really worthwhile event, but from an enterprise perspective, it should be unmissable!
Intellectual Property clinic, Inventions, branding and design protection advice: 15 - 19 June, Keltie LLP, No. 1 London Bridge
A few months ago I created a rundown on Intellectual Property basics for business; but such is the complexity of this area of the law, that I was very pleased to see that Keltie LLP, is returning to London Technology Week 2015 with their free IP clinics which proved so popular in the 2014 programme. This must surely be one of the most pressing issues to face the modern business, and London Technology Week offers a convenient opportunity to find answers to any specific queries you may have. The clinics will be running (in 45 minute face-to-face sessions) throughout the day from 15 -19 June, with booking absolutely essential.
TedXLondon: 17 June, Science Museum
Get yourself down - although you may have to be ingenious when it comes to acquring a ticket - to the Science Museum for this year's TedX talk on the theme of ingenuity. As ever it promises to be an eclectic crew: Al Murray, Francesca Beard, Dr Sundeep Dhillon, Professor Stephen Hawking and Professor Lucie Green are just some of those who have confirmed.
Videoworks, Enterprise video summit: 18 June, Charlotte St. Hotel
Video has long been established as a mainstay of the modern digital marketing strategy, but remains one of the most complex, misunderstood, and elusive of media types. The Enterprise Video Summit delivered by market leaders Qumu, will bring together some of the world's most eminent thinkers to discuss the ways that video is used by some of the world’s most successful businesses. The event should help to.
This conference will offer a rare opportunity for businesses of all sizes to realise the role that video could play in the growth and development of their business, not just in relation to things such as customer / client acquisitions but as a more fundamental way of boosting productivity.
The three-hour event will be attended by video experts at some of London’s hottest Fortune 500 companies, offering a great opportunity for anyone to benefit from their considerable experience and expertise.
One Day Marketing Masterclass for Startups: June 22, The Bridge, 81 Southwark Bridge Road
Social-media marketer Marc Duke will be holding a one-day marketing workshop. It will include planning, messaging, positioning, targeting, marketing integration, content creation, PR, social media, SEO, search, partnerships strategy, influencer marketing, event marketing, fundraising, staffing.
There is so much planned for this year’s London Technology Week that it would be impossible to cover everything, but hopefully this has given you a little taster of some of the free events that you will be able to enjoy!
