How to make your office space feel like home

How to make your office space feel like home

At Workspace, we know that businesses need their own space. Not just any space, but a place to be creative, design, collaborate – space to make your own.

We believe a cosy and comfortable working environment is something that everybody deserves. It’s easily achievable too. To make characterless offices a thing of the past we have teamed up with hip homeware brand Att Pynta. If it’s modern office interior design, cute desk decor and designer desk accessories you’re after, then you’ve come to the right place.

Att Pynta was founded by Kai and Amanda, two friends who met while working in the fashion industry. The duo were born and raised in Sweden and their chicly curated collection brings together makers and designers from across Scandinavia as well as the UK, offering up timeless and sustainably produced pieces that are as long lasting as they are stylish. With a focus on quality as well as affordability, Kai and Amanda have some incredible tips on how to make your office space feel just like home.

Read on to find out Att Pynta's top pieces that you need in your office.

As we make plans to spruce up our office here at Att Pynta, it’s becoming more and more obvious just how much of a difference an uplifting work area makes - there are many studies that show the correlation between employee health, happiness and productivity and their workspace

The Chair

“Whilst you need to make sure your chair is going to be comfortable and supportive enough to sit in for hours at a time, we suggest opting for a chair that complements the style of the room, rather than a typical office chair,” say the duo. “Adding a high back rattan style or velvet office chair can add a more comfortable cosy vibe to your work space. Or why not refresh your current office with a Scandi-style sheepskin.”

The Lamp

“A lamp on the desk for us is a must,” insist Att Pynta. “A charming little desk light can act as a statement office piece amongst the smaller desk accessories, bringing the overall look together. Add a pop of colour with a metal desk lamp in red or yellow.”

Textiles

“Textiles may not immediately spring to mind as a must-have when considering a workspace but they can easily add a homey feel to make your office more cosy,” is Amanda and Kai’s advice when it comes to interiors. “Why not place a throw over the back of your chair and a rug at your feet?”

The accessories

“Spruce up your desk as you would your home with some houseplants, books and vases,” say Att Pynta of how little things can make a big difference. “Plants in small pots are great for adding some nature and colour to your workplace. Add plants, books, vases and homely trinkets to your shelves to warm up your work area and make it a more welcoming space for you to be in.”
