Grand Union Studios opens in West London
Stunning new development, Grand Union Studios opened in Ladbroke Grove this spring, providing a home to over 100 New and Growing Companies.
Grand Union Studios joins a host of iconic London landmarks and institutions in and around the home of Notting Hill Carnival - over the road from Trellick Towers and just across from the Innocent Drinks headquarters.
The business centre will be home to over 100 businesses who want to be based in the heart of West London, a few minutes’ walk from Portobello Road.
There's a stunning light feature in the main atrium as well as a cafe and breakout and co-working space.
Over the coming months, there will be lots of New and Growing Companies set to call Grand Union home and we'll be reporting back with their stories. This part of West London is a hub of creativity so the variety and work of these businesses will be no doubt fascinating.
Popkorn TV is just one of the latest businesses to move in and you can see our interview with Creative Director Colin Moxon above. They've filmed documentaries for BBC, Channel 4, Sky and worked for Pret A Manger and Majestic Wines.
He explained how they've “always been based in West London... it's a fascinating area.” Colin chose Grand Union because of the facilities and the other businesses moving in. He said there are “some amazingly diverse businesses here, you can have everything from your production company, to your interior designer to a bike clothing design company”.
Men's skincare label Bulldog has also moved into the building. The business supplies award-winning products using natural ingredients to Germany, Portugal, Spain, Austria and the Republic of Ireland. Founder Simon Duffy was interviewed in The Telegraph last year.
We are Tea is another Grand Union-based business. It is a dynamic company selling all kinds of tea and they even make tea cocktails for business events hosted at Grand Union.
Events will form a large part of life at Grand Union. For the launch of the building, we hosted a Workspace Business Insight Dinner focused on LinkedIn and business networking. This is just the first of many workshops and networking events that we plan to take place in the building.
And many of the events will be catered by the new on-site café called Union Canal Deli. It's owned by the same owners as Canal Deli in the Workspace centre down the road - Canalot Studios. It’s a family-run business and you'll find Katie, Stephania, Nur and Aaron behind the counter.
It’s not hard to see why our office and studio space is proving so popular at Grand Union Studios. With comfort cooling, floor-to-ceiling glazing and terraces with spectacular views across London, if you’re interested in securing space less than a mile from bustling Portobello Road click here to view our last remaining spaces.
